Durante esta madrugada decorreu a 74.ª edição dos Primetime Emmy Awards, que nos deu a conhecer os vencedores de 2022, num evento apresentado por Kenan Thompson.

Os grandes vencedores da noite foram Succession nas séries dramáticas, arrecadando quatro estatuetas; Ted Lasso na comédia, com igualmente quatro prémios, enquanto que as categorias das minisséries foram lideradas por The White Lotus (venceu dez Emmys!). No total, e incluindo os vencedores dos Creative Arts Emmys, a HBO/HBO Max aparece em primeiro lugar com 37 vitórias, deixando a vencedora anterior, a Netflix, em segundo com 26 prémios. Longe destes dois serviços, aparecem a Hulu (oito Emmys), NBC (sete Emmys), Apple TV+ (sete Emmys) e Disney+ (seis Emmys).
